OhPlayer on Raspberry Pi, and buttons? - Latka - 13-01-2016 09:34 PM

Hi,

Is there a way to control the player other than upnp? It would be great to be able to add some physical buttonsa to the GPIO.

Would something like LPEC or curl commands be possible, or might be implemented?

Thanks

Hi Latka,

Yes, it would be perfectly feasible to interface to GPIO-based physical buttons.
If you look in OpenHomePlayer.cpp in the ohPlayer/linux directory you'll see calls to control the playback, such as pauseSelectionHandler().
The ohPlayer sample app actually implements an OpenHome control point, and the OpenHomePlayer.cpp menu handlers call the control point to handle playback etc.
