force 24 bit output ? - Dual_01 - 26-02-2018 05:16 PM

I successfully installed oh player on a RPi 3 and use the hifiberry dac+ driver. I want to feed a DAC from LB Audio systems (HB-DAC1704 which uses a SRC4392 receiver and the PCM 1704 DAC chip) with the I2S Signal. However, only 24 bit files work via I2S but not 16 bit files. Obviously a problem with the I2S format at 16 bit. Thus, can the Oh player be forced to send out the data in 24 bit format?
An alternative would be the use of another dac driver. Has anyone experience which DAC driver works with the Oh player and sends the correct I2S format at 16 and 24 bit? The dac driver has to support volume control, otherwise the Oh player software will not work.

got it. I inserted a file conversion from 16 to 24 bit into the Alsa asound.conf file.
