(09-02-2016 08:04 AM)DoomHammer Wrote:  @gussie: I don't want to modify the README since I would like my fork to be as close as possible to the original. So the instructions should be in my opinion (on RPi):

```
git clone https://github.com/DoomHammer/ohPlayer.git
cd ohPlayer
git checkout headless-player
./go fetch --all
cd linux
# You may edit OptionalFeatures.h at this point
make raspbian DISABLE_GTK=y
make raspbian-install
Could you post the error messages you are getting?
Here is my output:
This is my fault - we were running short of disk space and I was a bit over-zelous about pruning old, supposedly obsolete, binaries. If you edit projectdata/dependencies.json to use ohNet v1.6.1928 then run go fetch again, things should work.
It still doesn't work, please see below.
Thanks, Guus
You need to update the minor version as well as the build number - to v1.6.1928
Anybody willing to test-drive a headless version is more than welcome. I made my branch here: https://github.com/DoomHammer/ohPlayer/t...ess-player and compilation instructions differ in that you have to append `DISABLE_GTK=y` to your `make` invocation.
Cheers,
Doomhammer,
I have run into another problem, see below. I tried to add user pi to the audio group, but user pi was already added.
Cheers, Guus
pi@openhome:~ $ openhome-player
Volume Control Unavailable
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'OpenHome::AssertionFailed'
RE: Raspbian Headless
Hi
I have compiled the headless player with mp3, acc and radio activated, but in kazoo I dont see the TuneIn button and have no radio stations under the radio button.
In Linn Konfig I dont have the oportunity to select any TuneIn account that should be used for stations under the radio button like I can in the precompiled distribution from Openhome.
Anyone who know where I can edit in the source to get this working?
/Roger
Edit:
I have solve the halv of the problem, I had not compile with a tunein partner id (because I dont have one...).
Now I compile with my tunein account name, and now is the tunein parts visible, but the login dont work as expected (kazoo hanging, and after a restart I dont see my favorite stations, but I can browse radio stations in tunein).
So it seems I need a real partner id, is this anything I can get from anywhere, or is it impossible to make a own compilation with tunein working?
The OSX version works well. Eagerly waiting for Radio!
Great job!
We have basic headless support in the main codebase now, based on work by DoomHammer. We'll be due another release soon including headless support and new Raspbian Jessie and Ubuntu 15 support - this is currently available if you want to build yourself, or you can wait for the official releases.
(We're also working on completion of the native OSX codec integration, so Radio, Tidal and Qobuz shouldn't be far off)
Thanks for the positive responses!
That's very good news!
Will there be a specific (easy) procedure to update?
Thanks for everybody's effort.
